Inside The Whale was founded in the Danish town Aarhus back in 1991. At that time most of the members had already played together in the band “It's It” for about two years.
Inside The Whale was in the finals of the “DM I Rock” (Danish Championship for rock bands) in both 1992 and 1993.
The “DM I Rock” 1993 was exceptional that year, as this final also featured two other great bands Dizzy Mizz Lizzy and Kashmir.
What doesn’t kill us takes a long time to make us stronger. It’s a statement that the four individuals from the mid-north coast of New South Wales who comprise Royal Chant bid you consider well, through the ten tracks of their debut album RAISE YOUR GLASS & COLLAPSE. Firstly, these things that don’t kill us render us powerless, leaving us bruised, beaten and bloodied. They bury us chin deep in isolation, suffocating us with the separation from 9 to 5 normality. The boredom of familiarity becomes distant and we wish we had never wished the mundane away.
Lynwood Slim, born Richard Duran in Los Angeles, California on August 19th, 1953, is best known as a blues harmonica player and singer. He also also plays flute, composes, and produces and engineer recordings. Slim started playing harmonica at 15. His early influences include <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Jimmy+Reed" class="bbcode_artist">Jimmy Reed</a>, <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Little+Walter" class="bbcode_artist">Little Walter</a> and <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Big+Walter+Horton" class="bbcode_artist">Big Walter Horton</a>. He played the Los Angeles music scene, sitting in with <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Eddie+%22Cleanhead%22+Vinson" class="bbcode_artist">Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson</a> and others, then moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1977.

From the sleepy beachside town of Umina, NSW - Alex, Tim, Lachy, and John are Slow Down Honey. They have spent their teen years writing, jamming, and playing small seaside pubs and private parties.
