Kathryn Tickell (b. 1967) is an English player of the Northumbrian smallpipes and fiddle. She has recorded eleven albums, and toured widely. Kathryn Tickell took up the smallpipes aged nine, inspired by her family - especially her father Mike, who was heavily involved in the local traditional music scene - and by the music of an older generation of traditional musicians such as Willie Taylor, Will Atkinson, Joe Hutton, Richard Moscrop and Tom Hunter.

There are three bands with the name Aslan. The first is Aslan, is a a rock band from Dublin, Ireland. Formed in the mid-late 80's. The band features Christy Dignam (Vocals), Joe Jewel (Guitar), Tony McGuinness (Bass), Billy McGuinness (Harmonica, Keyboards, Percussion, Guitar) and Alan Downey (drums). Over the course of their career Aslan have played many different styles of music, ranging from pop, acoustic rock, rock etc. The band are also known as one of the hardest working bands in Ireland, playing (generally) at least one gig a week.

Hesperus plays early music, folk music, and various combinations of the two. It presents European medieval, renaissance and baroque music; cultural portraits mixing early and traditional music of a particular country or region, and crossover programs fusing medieval, renaissance, Appalachian, gospel, blues, Cajun and Irish styles. The Shire are a Heavy band from the Central Coast, formed late 2010. Their main interests are to play shows and write music other people will enjoy as much as they do!
